Government College University GCU Lahore hosts 5th All Punjab Quiz Competition
Ravians are born to lead the nation. It is here in the portals of GC University Lahore, where profound individuals acquire the true essence of leadership, fair play and tolerance, said former Chief Justice Lahore High Court, Justice (R) Khawaja Muhammad Shareef while addressing at the final round of 5th GCU All Punjab Inter-University Quiz Competition 2012 held under the aegis of GCU Ravians Quiz Society. GCU Vice Chancellor Prof. (Meritorious) Dr. Muhammad Khaleeq-ur-Rahman; Izaz-I-Kamal, chaired the final round that was won by Agriculture University of Faisalabad while University of Engineering and Technology remained runners up. Punjab University Law College and Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad secured third and fourth positions respectively. As many as 21 educational institutions including Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad, Agriculture University Faisalabad, UET Lahore and Punjab University Law College Lahore took part in the two-day competition.
Addressing the students, Justice (r) Khwaja Muhammad Sharif shared his memories associated with the Government College and also expressed the unique feeling of being a Ravian. He said that Ravians will guide the nation out of the present era crises. The former Chief Justice also congratulated the winners and conveyed his warms regards to the participants of other universities.
GCU Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Khaleeq ur Rehman while speaking at the occasion congratulated the top four teams on their accomplishment to secure their place in the final round after a tough competition with rest of the 17 teams of All Punjab Quiz Competition 2012.
