Jamshoro syndicate meets

HYDERABAD: The 30th meeting of the Syndicate of Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences Jamshoro has decided to restore the suspended stipend of the postgraduate doctors.

The Syndicate, which met on Saturday under the chair of the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Noshad Ahmed Shaikh, also decided to enhance the stipend of those doctors who are performing their duties in intensive care units of the university hospitals.

The meeting also unanimously approved the recommendations presented by the committee headed by Professor Ali Muhammad Ansari for addressing the issue of cardiology department.

The meeting also approved the recommendations of the Selection Board for promotion of the university officers of different grades.

According to a university spokesman, the restoration of suspended stipend of postgraduate doctors, enhancement of stipend of doctors working in ICUs and resolution of the issues of the cardiology department would help in improvement of the performance of the university’s hospitals.

Among others, Prof. Ali Muhammad Ansari, Prof. Mir Muhammad Dahiri, Prof. Faiz Muhammad Khan, Prof. Aftab Munir and Registrar Muhammad Saleh Rajar also attended the meeting of the university s syndicate.
