Shifa International Hospital: Shifa College of Medicine Islamabad
The Shifa International Hospital was conceived and incorporated in 1985-1987 by a small group of Pakistani doctors and other health care professionals who were working in the USA. Since then the “Shifa Family†has grown from over 450 contributing members to being a public limited company listed on the stock exchange.
The Hospital is located on 11.2 acres in sector H-8/4 in Islamabad. It was established to become a center of health care excellence in Pakistan.

A major component of the healthcare delivery system is the level of biomedical technology that is used, especially in the field of diagnostic imaging. Along with radiographic and fluoroscopic imaging, the facility houses, C.T. Scan, MRI, Mammography, Mobile X-rays, C. Arms, Ultrasonography., Dialysis, Dental Clinic and Cardiac Cath Laboratory. The Department of Radiation Oncology has a Simulator, a Linear Accelerator and a Cobalt-60. In addition Shifa has an ongoing open heart surgery and renal transplantation program.
The hospital currently provides 7 operating rooms, 50 bedded ICU-CCU and NICU, 37 specialist clinics, and a physiotherapy center.
